The only way to avoid workarounds like dropping the resolution on the laptops is to upgrade the office PC's/servers to Win10/2012R2. In some places I've read that the shortcut is Ctrl-Alt-Break. Image taken from my desktop. I am running Win10 Enterprise LTSB, so that might make a difference. Can anyone else confirm?

As a check I tried a couple of photos, using Irfanview, and the screen was filled at all times with no black borders when using images from my wallpaper collection which Is that the same as setting them in the RDP gui?
